Safe Internet Alliance Announces Newest Member: The Institute on Religion and Public Policy
WASHINGTON - The Safe Internet Alliance, a nonprofit 501(c)(4) organization, today announced its newest member, the Institute on Religion and Public Policy. Having received two nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize, the Institute on Religion and Public Policy is an effective and well-respected advocate for freedom of religion and belief.
“By joining the Safe Internet Alliance we hope to assist in promoting an ethical and respectful Internet that does not endanger the beliefs of any individual,” said Joseph K. Grieboski, president of the Institute on Religion and Public Policy. “We want an internet that allows each individual to exercise their religions safely, without fear of retaliation or attack for these views.”
An international, inter-religious non-profit organization, the Institute is dedicated to ensuring freedom of religion as the foundation for security, stability, and democracy. The Institute’s overarching goal is to create and strengthen legal, business, academic, media and other systems within countries—and internationally—to protect religious freedom so such abuses do not occur.
“We are pleased to have the Institute on Religion and Public Policy as a new member of the Safe Internet Alliance,” Linda Criddle president of Safe Internet Alliance, said. “This organization’s input and views will be particularly helpful with the Alliance’s goal of advancing an Internet ethic of respect and accountability online.”
The Safe Internet Alliance’s central mission is to promote a safe Internet and better educate and protect all users – especially children, teens and the elderly – from Internet corruption, crime and abuse.
Based in Arlington, Virginia, the Safe Internet Alliance is a nonprofit, 501(c)(4) corporation. Contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes and are not deductible as business expenses. For more information, please visit us at www.safeinternet.org
